You will have to buy a subscription to[...] (as said by uniden) or spend hours programming horrendous amounts of numbers. The unit can be programmed by a computer but the cable supplied is old rs232. Most new computers do not have this, or you can by their optional usb cable $ 30. Uniden is milking it's customer by making an extreemely hard to program scanner then sending them to buy another subscription and another cable. they are CROOKS. Typical american company.

This scanner is Great!! I would advise you to get programing software for it and a Radio Reference account.. It took a little time to figure it out but READ THE USERS GUIDE!!! The reception is great even with the stock antenna. I would give this scanner a 5 out of 5......
