Being a technical amateur, I had very little trouble setting up. It has worked perfectly since I bought it. And, it's size & portability is a huge plus.

the scanner arrived within 24hrs!I don't know how that happened but I was extremely pleased. the set up was, I believe as simple and easy as humanly possible,I was scanning what I needed in minutes. In fact I was finished so quickly I searched for a new project. The software practically runs itself.It allows you to scan, save,improve the quality and send to a file with ease. The price made it a steal.

I purchased this scanner in July 2009. It gave me problems when I installed the driver and I had to install it multiple times. The scanner never functioned properly and Canon tech support was not helpful. In less than 9 months the unit ceased to operate at all.I'm surprised because other Canon electronics are very good.I don't recommend this scanner.
