I have used this product for a little over a year now and I think that it is ok. I don't know if I would pay 175-200 for it again though as it does take some work to get some receipts to recognize and classify properly. That said though, the installation went off without a hitch, and I love the small footprint. The fact that it comes with a stand, so you can leave it upright on your desk is a great feature. So is the snap on mounting plate. No doubt it is not a perfect solution, but I have examined alot of other scanning solutions as well for receipts and this is as good or better than most. One thing though to note is that you MUST use the scanner only with the NEAT software. There is not basic scanner or TWAIN compliant driver. I was able to get it working for PDF's only by installing another manufacturer's driver on XP that gave me the ability to scan, but it was a difficult process to go through.

Perfect for reciepts,taxes and even pics. Can scan docs and pdfs, b/w and color. So glad I bought this, I have dramatically reduced the amount of random papers I feel the need to keep around the house-totally recommend to everyone. Also very small!! perfect!

This little scanner is great! So small, and easy to use. The software is so nice and makes documenting and keeping up with expenses a breeze. Great if you travel a lot and have a lot of reimbursable expenses that you need to email in to someone. It even auto-completes some of the fields.
I definitely recommend it and think it's worth the price!

This is a great way to get organized. Just make sure to install the program on a large HD. I put it on my laptop and should have installed the app on my external HD. I just wish that you had the option to store the database in a different location than the app. Now I have to backup the DB, install the app on the external HD and then reattach the DB. Poor planning on my part. It will only let you store about 300 receipts in the inbox then you have to file them before you can scan more. It will let you scan and file documents, odd shaped receipts go into the document inbox (wish it let you choose the inbox at scan time) but you can move them to receipts when you file. IRS recognizes pdf as valid documentation but I wonder if stores would take back something you bought if you didn't have the original receipt?
