Purchased this device to scan ID cards into our banking system. It works well. Images are good, it reads the barcodes perfectly. The only complaint I have is the sensor sees the ID being inserted doesn't always see the card and thus doesn't pull the card in every time.

As far as I can tell this device does not work at all with ID cards. The one I got wouldn't even scan pictures or text reliably. Most images were blurred, hashed or cut to pieces. Stay away from this dog.
