I bought this as well as the C-pen and will promptly be selling the Wizcom pen. The biggest downfall is it is just way too slow to be practical. Every line of text you scan you have to wait 10-15 seconds for the pen to "think" and record before proceeding to the next line of text. The concept of having a dictionary and read text is nice but if it doesn't have the "brain power" to do it in a timely manner why have it? The C-pen plugs straight into the computer (which isn't as handy but is MUCH faster).

This product is a waste of your money. By the time you mess around with it long enough to get the hang of it you could have just typed the notes.

I am a professor who spends extensive times taking notes from books and papers. This has increased my productivity manifold. Yes, like any other device of this sort it is not always perfect, but the errors are few once you get a hang of how to use it. I think the people complaining about the product wrote the review before really learning how to use it. Every technology out there, including your new TV, nowadays requires a learning curve and this is no different. For me, it is now my indispensable research assistant! I recommned the product enthusiastically if you are willing to bear few hours of teething pain.

I found it to be quite slow on the responses as it scrolls. Quite a few errors 60%+ error margin. Not good at all. However, if you take your time you'll eventually get it right. They need to build a model with a lighted screen, and with bluetooth capability. It's okay!

no answer to emails after almost 1 month of waiting. (I did not call the manuf. tech support)
product does not scann well, is very slow, is "guessing" amazingly wrong.
I had 3 different readings scanning 4 times the same 3 digits number (with 1 decimal) having the scanner "tunned" for scanning numbers.
I only asked the Wizcom what is the latest firmware version and if this model is upgradeable, telling them that I am not happy with my purchase. In the 2nd email I asked how long is usually takes to have an answer to the emails we send to them. Both emails received no answers.
My advice is to refrain to buy from this (Israeli) company.
Perhaps we can find more performant products from different sources.
The internal CPU is too slow, the embeded memory is way too small to host an dictionary.
Perhaps we should let the scanner to scan only, leaving the computer's CPU to do the rest.
